He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall Bowen and Lola Bowen (Cochran) of Austin, IN; and his brothers, Carl Bowen (Mary) and Harold Bowen (Hazel). He is survived by: his wife Laura Lou Bowen (Johnson); his children, Mike Bowen (Tina) of Spartanburg, SC and Janet Tucker of Columbus, IN; and his grandchildren, Bryan Tucker of Columbus, IN, Erica Colliver (Brandon), Caleb, Bo of Columbus, IN, Brittney Ruschaupt (Ryan), Shane of Apopka, FL and Chris Bowen of Spartanburg, SC.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Harmony Baptist Church (5558 County Rd 50 W, Austin, IN 47102). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
