Rhea G. Quillen Obituary
We announce the death of Rhea G. Quillen (Columbus, Indiana), who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 96. Rhea will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Coryell and Eva Etchison Coryell; her husband Jack Quillen; her daughter Barbara Bailey; and her siblings, Leo, Donald, Basil Coryell, June Mitchell, Fern Hartwell and Nancy Murphy.
She is survived by: her son Roger D. Quillen; her son-in-law Edward Bailey; and her sisters, Vera Hill and Hallie Huckaby. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials donations may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Jonesville Christian Church.
