He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Burton and Florence Reed Burton; his grandson Joshua Allen Ellington; his nephew Nathan Isgrigg; and also Colton Harris.

He is survived by: his children, Arthur Burton (Kristi) of Shelbyville, Nicole Ellington of Columbus and Michael Burton of Edinburgh; his grandson Joseph Michael Ellington (Gretchen Robbins) of Columbus; his siblings, Rhonda Burton of Columbus, Shelly Frazee of Columbus and Ronnie Burton of Burney; and his close friend Kimberly Burton of Columbus.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Norman Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
