He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Souza and Helena Emily Hall Orben. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Foster; his children, Christopher "Chip" Riis Orben (Julie), Janet Orben McMillan (Alan), Virginia Orben Stocker (Gerard) and William Robert Orben (Andrea); his grandchildren, Devon, Corrine, Kristen Orben, Mackenzie, Cameron, Allyson, Paige McMillan, Jacob, Daniel, Maria Stocker, Helene, Beatrice and Reed Orben; and his siblings, Jack Orben (Patricia) and Doris Campbell (Donald).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (512 7th St, Columbus, IN 47201). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
