He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Opal Hochesang Carter; his son Bob Carter; and his brother-in-law Rick McClintock. He is survived by: his wife Karen L. Carter of Columbus; his son Mike Carter (Megan) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Lawson Carter and Shelby Melton (Cody); and his sister-in-law Paulette McClintock.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201).
