With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Settle of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on February 3, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmel L. Settle and Hazel Eickleberry Settle; his wife Esther M. Strahl Settle; his son Phillip Settle; and his siblings, Elizabeth Baute, Mary Sue Lovins and Edward Settle.
He is survived by: his children, Randall Settle (Sandra Asher) of Columbus, Jeanette Otte (Bruce) of Columbus and Gary Settle (Lisa) of Columbus; and his sister Frances Schnell of Columbus. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Ohio Chapel Cemetery Fund.
