He was predeceased by: his son Darryl Wesley Fields; and his sisters, Norma Marie Fields Smith, Marianne Fields Williams and Vada Mae Fields Combs. He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Louise Fields; his sons, Michael Gordon Fields and Steven Louis Redmon (Angela); his sister Juanita E. Hudson; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Jones, Iris J. Embry, Diane L. Mitchell and Vaneice C. Steel. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
