Scott Pruitt Obituary
We announce the death of Scott Pruitt of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 88. Scott will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley L. Pruitt and Thelma Fern Ping Pruitt; his sons, Jeffrey Scott Pruitt and Gary Lee Pruitt; and his siblings, Catherine Smith, Mary Louise Hardin (Bill), Eva Wallace (Ross), Beulah Thompson (Keith), Jerry Pruitt (Carolyn), Halford Pruitt (Mabe) and Floyd M. Pruitt.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Pruitt of Columbus; his granddaughters, Baylee Pruitt (Chris Resnick) of California, Josie Pruitt of Columbus and Shelby Stahl of Seymour; his great grandchildren, Hazel Forsness of Columbus and Brody Henry of Columbus; and his brother Ronnie Pruitt (Carolyn). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Jonathan Moore (4205 Jonathan Moore Pike, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or the Ogilville Christian Church.
