He is survived by: his wife Debbie Carter; his children, Christopher Barkes (Eunie) of Columbus, R. J., Jenny Devening (Justin) of Columbus and David L. Barkes of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Aliyah Velez, Candra Smith (Randall), Calli Ferguson (Clayton), Brittany Belcher, Peyton Barkes, Paris Barkes, Pax Barkes and Logan Walker; his great grandchildren, Westley, Grayson, Wyatt and Lorelai; his siblings, Tom Barkes, Patsy Stillwell (Lou), Tim Barkes (Vickie), Tracey Joe Waltermire and Linda Flores; and his cousins, Larry Leeper, Allen Leeper and Billy Burton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the International Fellowship of Christian Jews or Riley Hospital for Children.
