She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brewer and Clarice Brewer (Pettiford); her husband Kenneth Wilbur Hunter; her grandson Sergeant Jonathon Hunter; and her siblings, William Norman Brewer, Lovetta Brewer Harper, Oneita Brewer Smith, Myrna Brewer Staten, Nadine Brewer Litzy, Olga Brewer Bush, Kenneth Brewer and Ralph Brewer.

She is survived by: her grandsons, Kenneth (Kenny) and Mark; her children, Brenda Pitts (David), Kenny Hunter (Jacqueline), Mark Hunter and Darlene Hunter Foreman; her grandchildren, Nichole Pitts, Christopher Pitts, Alisha Peden, Aaron Hunter, Adrian Hunter and Marcus Hunter; her great grandchildren, Isaiah Pitts, Montez Rush, Monyay Rush, Corey Peden, Jr., DaShawn Hunter, Aaron Hunter and Brea Hunter; and her sister-in-law Ernestine Hunter Whittaker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
