He is survived by : his mother Ann Baxter of El Paso, Illinois; his wife Karen Leah Seitzinger; his sons, Stephen Matthew and Daniel Joseph; and his brothers, David Eric Baxter of Eureka and Scott Eryn Baxter (Michelle) of Saybrook, Illinois..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ogilville Christian Church (7891 W 450 S, Columbus, IN 47201). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Columbus Area Emmaus or Chrysalis communities, Residents Encounter Christ, Chainbreaker House (Columbus, Illinois), or Riley Hospital for Children.
