He was predeceased by: his parents, William Theodore Sanders and Flossie Mae Sanders; and his siblings, Gordy Sanders, Donald Sanders and Lois Lewis (Leon).

He is survived by: his children, Janel Sanders (Ryan) and Dereck Sanders; and his siblings, Carolyn Brown (George), Barb Belluchi, Sherry Sanders, Carl Sanders (Cheryl) and Michael Sanders.
