He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Eugene Knapp and Cassie Imogene Wilbur Knapp; his pets, Winnie, Lucy and Tommy; and his sister Carla Erwin.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Christian of Columbus; his children, Misty Newman (Shawn) of Greensburg, KY, Joe Knapp (Jennifer Arbuckle) of Ogilville and Julie Knapp of Columbus; his grandchildren, Natashia Gaskin (Preston) of Columbia, KY, Breanna Judd (Austin) of Greensburg, KY, Jacob Knapp of Columbus, Addison Knapp of Columbus, Haley Wright (Charlie Parkinson) of Columbus, Jaden Pettit (Destiny Sweet) of Columbus and Ryland Pettit of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Tatum Bolden of Columbia, Oakley Gaskin of Columbia, KY, Gabriella Pettit of Columbus and Josie Pettit of Columbus; his sister Joyce Konradi (Jan) of Florida; and his half-brother Jerry Reedy of Hope.
