He is survived by: his stepsons, Brian and Kenneth Des Combs of Connersville; his brothers, Larry E. Sturgeon (Kathy) of Liberty and Randy Sturgeon (Mary) of Connersville; and his siblings' children, Janel Sturgeon, Gina Johnson, Michele Bowling and Kile Sturgeon.
