Dixie L. Hornsby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie L. Hornsby of Connersville, Indiana, born in Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Aldridge, Theophalous, Paul, Charles, James, Gale, Dale, J. B. Hornsby and Mary Ann McConkey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Hornsby; his children, Terry Hornsby (Julie) of Taiwan, Sherri Dykes (Steven) of Liberty Township and Mary Sue Jones (Chris) of Centerville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Harmony Lu Hornsby, Rebecca Strong, Joshua Strong (Stephanie), Brandon Jones (Annie), Daniel Jones (Asheton), Brittany Johnson (John Henry) and Maria Jones; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Christopher, Haidyn, Asher, Everleigh, Kira, Eleanor and Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robbins Funeral Home (1704 N Grand Ave, Connersville, IN 47331). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alquina Church or Fayette County Senior Center.
