He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Atkins and Lula Atkins (Fox); and his siblings, Vadis, Delmer Adkins, Zola and Kenny Hacker.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Miller; his daughters, Lynn Kennedy (Jerry) of Rushville, IN and Alanna Dale Atkins of Roseville, MN; his grandchildren, Jessie McDaniel (Brandon), Jordan Kennedy of Rushville, IN, Jennifer Flack (Colby) of Alabama and Vasko Atkins of Roseville, MN; his great grandchildren, Brent, Lauren McDaniel, Luke and Sadie Flack; and his nephews, Marty, Gordon and Brian Adkins of Connersville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Urban Winkler Funeral Home (513 W 8th St, Connersville, IN 47331). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Union Cemetery N County.
