He is survived by: his wife Katherine Hannefey; his stepchildren, Linda Ingram (Mike) of Connersville and Sherman Safewright (Lee Ann Brown) of Liberty, Indiana; his stepgrandchildren, Kimberly McDonald (J. L.) of Fort Mill, Kellie Lather (T. J.) of Fort Mill and Bryon Safewright (Laura) of Cazenovia; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mila, Baily Safewright, Kathrynn Jane Lather, Kyra Strilka (Jonnathon) of Charleston and Olivia McDonald of Anchorage, Alaska; his brother Dale Combs (Becky) of Chesapeake; and his sibling's children, John Combs of Laurel, Ralph, Don and Debbie Lohrey of Brookville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
