He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Gabbard and Helen Gabbard of Laurel Indiana; his wife Mary Gabbard; his brothers, Fred, Lawrence of Laurel and Carrol Reed (Cookie) of Berea Kentucky; and his stepson Vernon Richard Milbourn.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny D. (Glenna) and Mellissa Jefferies (Mike) of Connersville; his stepchildren, Everett Milbourn (Brenda) of Connersville, Mary Moore (Ronald) of Batesville Indiana, James Milbourn (Sarah) of Laurel Indiana and Rosalie Robinson (Tom) of Connersville; and his grandchildren, Jay, Michelle, Kimberly, Dennis, Ricky, Everett Franklin, Lea, Shannon, Ronnie Jr., Terry, Kathy, Pam, Carl Jr., Billy, Joseph, Dannielle and Dustin. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Robbins Funeral Home (1704 Grand Ave, Connersville, IN 47331). A masonic service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian Church in Connersville.
