With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loretta Joy Hughes of Connersville, Indiana, who passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bannon and Esther Ilean Mathis Bannon; her husband Bill Hughes; her daughters, Maryleen Hughes and Serena Taylor; her granddaughter Johnnie Taylor; and her brothers, Mike Bannon and Monte Bannon.

She is survived by: her son William K. Hughes (Catherine) of Glenwood; her grandchildren, Natalie Moore, Brittany Fry (Rocky), Craig Hughes (Tashina), Brandon Hughes (Ashley) and Jerald Taylor; her grandson-in-law Jon Moore; her great grandchildren, Holland Moore, Harrison Fry, Jaeden Taylor, Braxton Hughes, Alice Hughes, Buckley Hughes, Braden Moore, Landon Burch and Madison Garrison; and her sisters, Marilyn Morgan, Barbara Hetland and Debbie Frederick.
