She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Allen and Emily Allen (Hensley); her husband Leonard Leslie "Shorty" Tomlin; and her children, Emily Jane "Janie" Sparks (Donnie) and Leonard Leslie Tomlin (Phyllis).
She is survived by: her children, Anna Marie (Tomlin), McMillan (Roy), Loreda "Petie" Jean Turner (Benny) and Billy Keith Tomlin (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and over 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's research hospital in Ruth's honor.
