He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Brookshire and Maudie Brookshire (Morgan); the mother of his children Jean Ann Brookshire; and his siblings, Don Brookshire, Ed Brookshire and Nancy Gilliam.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Franks Brookshire; and his children, Lee Brookshire (Lisa), Lance Brookshire (Sara), Robert Franks (Jerlene), Jeffrey Franks (Dottie) and Marcy Moreillon (Anthony). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
