Kent L. Sumpter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kent L. Sumpter of Converse, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kent L. Sumpter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kate Sumpter (Venis) and Charles W. Sumpter; and his grandson Mark Sumpter. He is survived by: his spouse Jan Melton; his children, Mindy Sumpter of Kokomo and Patrick Sumpter (Kristi) of Kokomo; his grandchildren, Matt Hisey (Shelby Coffey), Garrett Shields (Shelby Bakehorn), Logan Shields (Ally), Garrett Sumpter, Leigha Misner (Drew), Marlee Cockrell and Makenna Titus (Cody White); his sister Debbie Lytle (Robert); and his pet Cubbie. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
