She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Gettelfinger and Mary Gettelfinger (Miller); her husband Donald L. Thieneman of Corydon; and her siblings, Donald J. Gettelfinger, John F. Gettelfinger, Pauline Receveur and Ann Knable.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Gettelfinger (Miller); her children, Cindy Shireman (Joe), Don Thieneman (Kelly), Steve Thieneman, Ken Thieneman (Shannon) and Saundra O'Bannon (Jonathan); and her siblings, Mary Evelyn Sprigler, Marcella Stumler, Delores Striegel (Dick), Joe Gettelfinger (Marcia) and Dave Gettelfinger (Theresa). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112). A rosary was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 7:30 PM. A Mass was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (312 E High St, Corydon, IN 47112).
The family requests memorial donations be made in Hilda's memory to the Harrison County Community Foundation in the name of the Donald & Hilda Thieneman Family Fund.
