He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hayden and Mattie Reising Hayden; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Hayden; his son Gary Hayden; and his brothers, David and Larry Hayden.
He is survived by: his son Greg Hayden (Leann) of Corydon, IN; his brother Delbert Hayden (Christina); his grandchildren, Lauren Merkley (Blake), Spencer Hayden, Brock Hayden (Lina), Brooke Hayden (Sam), Ezra Hayden and Rheagan Wiles; his great grandchild June Elizabeth Merkley; his siblings-in-law, Marlene Hayden, Betty Bennett, Charlotte Bennett and Mike Bennett (Ann); and his close friend Agnes Simms. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 E Chestnut St, Corydon, IN 47112). A rosary will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (11400 Farmers Ln NE, Greenville, IN 47124).
