He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottie B. Hanger and Jennie C. Rodgers Hanger; his siblings, Eugene, Archie, Darrell, Noble, Bernard, Gary, Don Hanger, Ruby Fitch, Doris Chaffin, Catherine Emerson and Peggy Sue Hanger; and his son-in-law Lee Bowers II.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Litch Hanger; his children, Jennifer Bowers, Brenda Pruitt (Eddie) and Jerry L. Hanger; his grandson Levi Bowers (Bri); and his sister Maxine Pait. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Old Capitol Church (470 S Heidelberg Rd SW, Corydon, IN 47112).
