With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael August Jr. in Corydon, Indiana, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marita August; and his parents, Michael, Sr. August and Jacqueline August. He is survived by: his brother Andrew August; his grandsons, Darius Wooldrigde and Adian Albertson; and his siblings-in-law, Stewart Faris, Rickey Faris, Cindy Faris and Ramona Faris. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that contributions in Michael's memory be made to donor's choice.
