He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacob Emmanuel and Dorothy Louise Bain (Hood); his children, Dorothy Bain, Mike Cundiff and Brian Blevens; his grandson Tyler Blevens; and his brother Samuel Bain.

He is survived by : his wife Lida Bain; his children, Joe Bain (Carla), Scott Bain (Natalie), Davy Blevens and Joey Blevens (Sussan); his grandchildren, Jalen, Jamison, Grace Bain, Ashley, Alyssa, Christopher and Brittany Blevens; his great grandchildren, Kendrick, Wrenly and Alaina; his sisters, Harriett Derr (Leon) and Amanda Pursley (Tom); and his sister-in-law Nina Bain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and all of his family.
