He was predeceased by : his father David Franklin Brown; and his siblings, Gerald "Jack" Brown, Marvin Brown, Ida Barrow and Joan Dones.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Ann Goldman Brown; his daughters, Cheryl Fisher of Ramsey, Terri Karnes (Keith) of Corydon and Debra Ann Peers (Tom) of Houston, Texas; his brother Lee Brown (Lou) of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, Miriam Fisher, Rachel Nolan (Matt), Veronica Croner (Eric), Frank Fisher (Jess), Joshua Karnes, Noah Karnes (Chrissa), Matthew Karnes (Mari), Jesse Peers (Sarah) and Carissa Long (Jamie). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Central Cemetery Foundation.
