Shirley Hollingsworth Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2025, at the age of 84, Shirley Hollingsworth of Corydon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Penwell and Anna Mae Keplinger Penwell; her husband Billy Joe Hollingsworth; her brother Joe Eddie Penwell; her daughter Judith Louis Cano Meredith; and her stepdaughter Becky Jo Hollingsworth.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Lee Cano of Leslie, Missouri, Cecelia Theresa McGaha of Jeffersonville and Carol Ann Hendry of Leesburg, Florida; her stepchildren, Earl Lee "Butch" Hollingsworth (Judy) of Texas, Billy B. Hollingsworth (Darcy) of Indiana and Sara Jane Lynch of Kentucky; and her siblings, Diana Penwell Poling Miller of Kentucky and Samuel Penwell (Cheri) of Colorado. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gehlbach & Royce Funeral Home (318 E Chestnut St, Corydon, IN 47112). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
