We announce the death of Betty Carol Pollitt of Covington, Indiana, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Betty will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her former husband Jack Pollitt; her husband Thomas Smalley; and her brother John Bernard. She is survived by: her children, Doug Smalley (Jennifer), Wayne Smalley (Tami) and Laurie Cox; her grandchildren, Brittany Smalley, Breanna Smalley, Brooke Smalley, Leah Smalley, Daniel Smalley, Nicole Cox, Abby Smalley, Jared Smalley and Drew Sweet; her great grandchildren, Tai, Kingston and Xerxes; and her sisters, Joyce Dowell (Paul), Jaci Cox, Debbie Long (Michael), Katrina Arringdale (Shawn) and Janice Myers (Todd).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (1111 Harrison St, Covington, IN 47932). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Spring Hill Cemetery (301 E Voorhees St, Danville, IL 61832).
