He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Holmes and Norma Buckner Holmes; and his sister Cheryl Taylor (Mike) of Creal Springs, IL.. He is survived by: his wife Soni (Soni); his daughters, Jen Fish (Bob) and Beth Benker (Rodney); his grandchildren, Lauren, Allie, Nate Fish, Paris Headlee, Jorja, Avery Walker and Nolan Benker; and his great grandchild Charlotte Headlee.

Memorials in his name can be made to the American Lung Association.
