We announce the death of John Ephlin of Covington, Indiana, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Ephlin. He is survived by: his father John Ephlin; his wife Luella Elizabeth Ephlin; his children, Chris Gegner of Brownsburg and Dawn Vale (late Paul Vale) of Covington; his grandchildren, Miranda Gegner (Andrew Thompson), Phillip Gegner (Sarah) and Lauren Vale; his sisters, Jessica Hughes of Danville, IL and Dianna Jeffers of Danville, IL; and his great grandchildren, Skylar, Arlo, Eli and Luke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home - Covington (420 3rd St, Covington, IN 47932). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
