He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Vale. He is survived by: his father Paul L. Vale; his wife Dawn; his children, Brian Vale (Jill) of Wilmington, Meghan Walton of Mooresville and Lauren Vale; his grandchildren, Connor, Corina Vale, Nolan and Nora Walton; his siblings, Judy Joll of Spartanburg and Chris Grismer of Folsom, California.; and also Adam Walton of Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to Covington United Methodist Church or Simon Cancer Center at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis Indiana.
