He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Hughes and Margery Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hughes (Mycroft); his sons, Bryan Hughes (Jeannette) of Cannelburg and Curtis Hughes of Greenwood, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Eric Blair (Katie), Trey Hughes, Audrey Gines (Sam), Kara Graber (Tanner), Courtney and Alaina Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Jaylee, Elsie, Conor, Brylee, Mila and Ada.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home - Covington (420 3rd St, Covington, IN 47932). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center's Covington Chapel (420 3rd St, Covington, IN 47932).
Memorials may be given in Phillip's name to the First Church of Christ in Covington, Indiana.
