He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Coffing and Sylvia Coffing (Abernathy); his daughter-in-law Susan Coffing; his parents-in-law, Roy and Louise Hunter; his brothers-in-law, Jack Hunter and Fred Paxton; his niece Penny Coffing Ratcliff; and his friends, Terry, Sandy Holland, Bud and Sandra Mycraft.

He is survived by: his wife Patti Coffing (Hunter); his sons, Tim Coffing (Holly), Joe Coffing (Melanie) and Mark Coffing (Beth); his grandchildren, Tanner Coffing (Jessica), Tyler Coffing (Jakob), Trace Coffing, Brittany Coffing (Ryan), Brooke Gulley (Kaleb), Taylor Orander (Justin), Hadley Kinderman (Jordan) and Ashlyn Coffing; his great grandchildren, Greyson Orander, Tinley Stimac, Beckham Orander, Noah Coffing and Kohen Gulley; his siblings, Rita Paxton and Greg Coffing (Lori); and his sisters-in-law, Sally Gritten and Kay Hunter.

Memorials may be made in Roger's name to Jack Hunter memorial scholarship fund, at the Covington Community Foundation.
