He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Burton and Rachel Marie Jennings (Hadley); his stepson Timothy Lee Kennedy; and his siblings, Sanford, Tommy, Charles Joseph, Donald Dean, Roy B. Jennings, Catherine Jones, Beulah May, MaryLou Waymire, June Mathews and Norma Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Gillespie; his daughter Christina L. Grandstaff; and his stepchildren, Billy James Taylor of Danville, IL, Cathryn Kay Newton of Florence, AL and Tamera Walker. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
