It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bette Cathryn Vaught of Crawfordsville, Indiana, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George M. Rice and Ethel E. Rice (Fisher); and her sister Eva Wetherald. She is survived by: her cousin Raymond C. "Poke" Vaught of Crawfordsville; her children, Debra Zachary (Sid) of Avon and Thomas Vaught (Debra) of Crawfordsville; her grandchildren, Mary Fossnock (Josh) of Frankfort, Grace Vaught (Chris Baker) of Crawfordsville and Samuel Vaught (Brett Roberts) of Massachusetts; her great grandchildren, Joshua, Madelynn, Matthew, Oliver, Olivia and Rosalie; and her siblings-in-law, Edwin "Doc" Vaught and Myrna Vaught. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burkhart Funeral Home (201 W Wabash Ave, Crawfordsville, IN 47933). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
