She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Venis and Dorothy Venis; her former husbands, William Leach and Gerald Lee Simpson; her siblings, Mary Helen Pawlak and James Lee Venis; her husband Robert D. Thompson; and her son Richard Lee Thompson (Geri).
She is survived by: her children, Linda J. Thompson (Brian), Donald M. Thompson and Larry R. Thompson (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Amy Tischer (Justin), Daniel Thompson (Marce), Allison Philips (Jon), Adam Thompson (Michelle), Aiden Thompson (Abby), Lucas Thompson, Seth Thompson (Krystal), Erin True and Alex Cord (Lindsey). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
