He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Mitchell and Evelyn Mitchell (Cook); and his brother Kenneth Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Carrie L. Mitchell (Brooks); his children, Dustin Mitchell (Christina) of Greensboro and Crystal Starke (Ryan) of Thornton, Colorado; his stepchildren, Christian Brooks (Ryanna) of Crawfordsville and Gracie Johnson (Sam) of Crawfordsville; his children, Tristan Mitchell (Lindsey), Sean Mitchell (Christina) and Ryan Musgrave (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Taylor, Chandler, Evelyn and Vincent; his stepgrandchildren, Nathaniel, Dylan, Tyler, Patrick, Victoria, Willow, Graysin and Hudson; his brothers, Tom Mitchell (Debbie) of Jamestown and Ronnie Mitchell (Sandy) of Frankfort; and his sister-in-law Barbara Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory (315 W Main St, Jamestown, IN 46147). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
