He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifford and Freda M. Pettit (Witham); his wife Joyce E. Vowels; his son David Pettit; his grandson Joshua Rice; and his siblings, Clifford Pettit, Virginia Pettit Williams and Lillian Pettit Schuck.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Rice (Greg) of Crawfordsville; his grandson Cory Rice; his great grandchild Jaxon Rice; and his brothers, Ronnie, Danny Pettit of Lawrenceburg, IN and Frank Rose of Crawfordsville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home (107 N Grant Ave, Crawfordsville, IN 47933). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
