He is survived by: his wife Andrea Hicks Franklin; his sons, Thomas Franklin of Ladoga and David Franklin of Ladoga; his stepchildren, Dakota Uplinger of Watseka, Trent Uplinger of Havelock, Manuel Gutierrez of Pensacola and Serna Gutierrez of Crawfordsville; his siblings, James Manion (Peggy) of Crawfordsville, Allen Franklin and Gloria Jarrad of Crawfordsville; and his grandchildren, Betty Franklin, Tommie Franklin, Storm Franklin, Steele Franklin, Gus Uplinger, Waylon Uplinger, Sam Uplinger and Topanga Gutierrez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gooch Funeral Home (112 W Howard St, Rockville, IN 47872). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
