He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval G. Mitton and Leona R. Mitton (Neff); and his sister Mary Mitton of Columbia, SC.. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" (West); his grandson Nathan Mitton Barnett; and his children, Hunter West, Kaden Mitton Barnett, Delayna Mitton Barnett, Madisyn Morgan and Hank West.
