He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harold Whitson, Sr. and Thelma Lee Williams Whitson. He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Ott (Matthew) of Louisville; his brother Richard Lee Hunt (Katherine) of Seymour; and his grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Ott.
