Benjamin leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Benjamin’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Benjamin will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby James and Varetta James. He is survived by: his wife Melissa James; his daughter Chloe James; his mother-in-law Penny Volk; his sister-in-law Jenn Volk; his niece Mia Volk (Nate Anderson); his brother Rich James (Sheri James); and his nephew Nick James (Annalise Sheffers). He is also survived by his Mother's side with many cousins and aunts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Memory Lane Cemetery (6305 E Lincoln Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307).
