Betty J. Seegers Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty J. Seegers (Crown Point, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Watson and James Watson; her aunt Helen Ruth Hutchison; her uncle Bill Hutchison; her son-in-law Michael Bishop; her sisters-in-law, Phylliss Seegers (Paul) and Nancy Bruick (John); and her grandmothers, Polly Pockets (Littlest) and McKenna.

She is survived by: her significant other Gerald Seegers; her children, Karen Seegers and Jay Seegers (Jack Dempewolf); her grandchildren, Paxon Hunter and Ceigen Hunter (Kaitlyn); her brothers-in-law, Paul Seegers and John Bruick; her cousins, Scotty Hutchison (Diana) and Sherry Hutchison Moore; her granddaughters, Karen and Betty; her pet Shop; her caregivers, Kerline, Guerlyne, Cheyla and Rayven; her granddaughter McKenna; her granddaughter-in-law Kaitlyn; Paul, Nancy, Phylliss and John. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's name to the St. John's United Church of Christ or the Boys & Girls Club of La Porte County.
