He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Alder; his children, William and Ann Marie; his parents, Albertha Alder and Earl Alder; and his brother Don Alder.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Alder (Cheryl), Steven Alder, Patricia Plantenga (Daniel) and Teresa Hancock (Don). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
