He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine; his parents, Leonard Barman and Matilda Barman; and his sisters, Florence Rose and Lenore Barman.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Barman, Leonard Barman, Dr. Donna McDavitt (Bruce) and Christine Barman (Brian Dunn); and his grandchildren, Charles Barman (Lindsay), Marika Smith (Richard), Dr. Stephen Barman (Aabha Oza), Abagail Bates (David), Bryce Barman, Emily Dunn, Jacob Dunn (Francesca) and John McDavitt. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Christopher Episcopal Church (12718 Marshall St, Crown Point, IN 46307).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Don's name to St. Christopher Episcopal Church, Crown Point.
