He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond J. Sinnema and Elsa Sinnema (Hoffman); his siblings, Eugene and Evelyn Uminger; and his grandsons, Johnny Peterman and Timothy Amedeo.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa A. Sinnema (Walker); his children, Catherine M. Peterman (John), Mary Pat Amedeo (Robert) and Michael R. Sinnema (Claire); his sisters, Elaine Gagliano and Doris Gammon; his grandchildren, Patrick Peterman (Mary), Meaghan Tait (Brian), Shannon Peterman, Matthew Amedeo (Jessica), Christopher Amedeo (Laura), Meredith Amedeo, Michael Amedeo (Kristin), Jake and Carly Sinnema; and his great grandchildren, Charles, Liam, Henry, Lillian Peterman, Carter, Chandler, Caris Tait, Hannah, Emerson, Everett Hayes, Madison McCubbin, Skylar Vanley, Luca, Rhys Amedeo, Hudson, Maeve Amedeo and Frankie Amedeo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
