He is survived by: his close friend Donna Sadula; his children, Suzanne Szostak (Bryce Skolfield), Steven Michael "Mike" Szostak (Kiana) and Jennifer Cook; and his brothers, John Szostak (late Rolita), Christopher Szostak (Dawn) and Walter Szostak.
