It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Kretz of Crown Point, Indiana, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Eva; and his sisters, Carolyn Batcheller and Barbara Miracle. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Nina Kretz (Ray Bougher) of Lowell, Melissa Lewis (John) of Lowell, Dawn Kretz of Lowell, Tom (Michelle) of Lowell and Carrie Dahl (Ryan) of Crown Point; his grandchildren, Rhees, Alex and Hannah; his children, Tyler, Mitchell, Olivia, Masen, Jenna, Porter and Adalyn; and his siblings, Robert Kretz (Carol) of Demotte, Vernon "Butch" Kretz of Crown Point and Janet Greer of Lafayette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services (604 E Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the St Edward Cemetery (5761 W 177th Ave, Lowell, IN 46356).
